My name is Anne Nechal and I have been teaching art workshops and classes in some capacity for the over 20 years. Whether in a traditional school classroom, an art studio or in non-traditional spaces, I love to connect people of all skill levels with their creative, artistic side.
While my background is primarily in ceramics and painting, I have offered workshops in a variety of mediums from hand-building with clay to macrame, all forms of painting to card-making.
I have designed and facilitated curriculum for classroom teaching in art and STEAM as well as after school programs, summer enrichment and adult education.
Most recently, I have been focused on school murals, collaborative art projects and room redesigns. Due to the ever-changing educational landscape, I started to return to my roots and am looking to host meaningful and customized art experiences in my own backyard. Additionally, I'd love to begin to build partnerships with local businesses. Let’s create & connect!
My love of all things art started very early. One of my earliest memories was painting dinosaurs and making paper maché masks at the Pontiac Arts Center at 4 years old.
That love continued all through grade school and high school and landed me at University of Michigan's School of Art and Design. At Michigan, I was drawn to doing collaborative art with the public and non-profit world!
After college, I spent many years managing and teaching at a do-it-yourself art studio where my obsession with clay and wheel-throwing took off!
In 2015, I went out on my own and have been working as a freelance artist and instructor ever since, dabbling in all things art and design!
My artistic vision is to make creating art accessible to everyone - To foster connection through creativity!
And if making your own art feels too daunting, I want to bring your creative vision to life for you!
